Heavy Fighting in Chechnya
The Chechenpress news agency, Kavkaz Center, and a number of other rebel Chechen information sources say that heavy fighting has been taking place between guerrillas and Russian-backed forces in the mountainous Nozhay-Yurtovsky district of south-eastern Chechnya, with federal losses of between 40 and 60.
